Merciful Father, we thank you for creating us in your image and for redeeming us through the precious blood of your Son; we are deeply grateful for your infinite love and for the gift of faith. We thank you even more for calling to religious life those willing to follow the evangelical counsel and to seek a more perfect and holy life. Those called to religious life seek to enter into your vineyard and wholeheartedly and with all their strength to work for the Kingdom of God, this is indeed a great gift of grace.

Heavenly Father, consecrated life in today's ever changing society faces innumerable challenges. We ask you to guide in the light of the Holy Spirit those, from within your people, who are willing to respond to your call; with a firm faith and joyful heart, allow them to treasure and protect this pearl of great price that they may give faithful witness to the Kingdom of God.

Heavenly Father, in our hurried world, there is an even greater need for the service of those who belong to your Spirit. During this year of consecrated life, we ask you to call those willing to follow you; steady their footsteps to respond to your call to choose the path of consecrated religious life. May your kingdom come; may your name be praised throughout the world. We make our petition in Christ's name. Amen.
